Space Invaders: Why you should never, ever use two spaces after a period.

“Two-spacers are everywhere, their ugly error crossing every social boundary of class, education, and taste. You’d expect, for instance, that anyone savvy enough to read Slate would know the proper rules of typing, but you’d be wrong; every third e-mail I get from readers includes the two-space error,” says author Farhad Manjoo.     the first thing i do when i open a file from a client is a find and replace recognizance for those extra spaces. only then can i move on to my design work.

    I have applied for a patent on a keyboard that all authors will be required to use. It has copper strips embedded in the space bar, the tab key, and the return key, and if you press any of them twice in a row, you receive a powerful electric shock.
